Step 9: Report and analyse

After you have entered all the product information, sales order details, production orders, purchase orders and inventory data, you can start reporting and analysing.

Zedonk comes with over 100 pre-defined reports that you can customise to your needs. You can export reports in CSV and Excel formats or schedule reports to arrive regularly in your email mailbox (daily, weekly, or monthly).

The basics of the Reports module

Before you start working with reports and analysing them, we recommend you review the terminology we use in the Reports module - Reports - Abbreviations and Definitions. Remember that your sales orders, products, raw materials, purchase orders, production orders and inventory are seasonal. Most of our reports are displayed in the season you are working in (displayed in the top-right corner of Zedonk). Still, you can easily include multiple seasons - Reports - Include Multiple Seasons

Tip: To prevent time-outs that may occur when a large data set is requested we recommend you not to include more than 3 seasons at a time.

In the next section, we list some of our most useful and popular pre-defined reports. If you find any of them overwhelming, simply hide unnecessary columns (Reports - Hide and Move Columns) and/or apply filters (Reports - Filter, Group and Sort) to see exactly what you need.

If you want to save your customised report, click the Customise button first, then remove the columns and apply filters (Custom Report - Create New).

Whether you use a pre-defined report or a customised report, you can display it in Zedonk for quick reference, export it in CSV and Excel formats or schedule it to arrive in your mailbox.

Now, let's review some of our most popular pre-defined (system) reports.
