Multi Locations - System Settings - Multi Inventory Settings

Create/Edit your locations in Zedonk, manage their addresses, prioritise locations; and establish where Sales Orders should be fulfilled from, Production should be received, and Customer Returns should be accepted.

From System Settings, go to 'General Settings' > 'Locations' to review your Locations
Click [Add] to create and set your Locations...

*The first 'Standard' Location you see in the settings will be the one location your system has always had in the backend. When retitling the existing one, it should reflect the location where your inventory was mainly held before switching on the multi location module. In most cases this would be e.g. 'Warehouse'

To add a location click the green [Add] button and enter the following details:

1. 'Name' - Enter the Location name.

You have the following options:

2. 'Fulfil Sales Orders from this Location' - this will ensure that the location shows up as an option to apply to Customer records and Sales Orders.

3. 'Receive Production into this Location' - this will ensure that the location is an option when creating a new Production Order and the Docket will be assigned to this location.

4. 'Receive Customer Returns into this Location' - this will ensure that the location is a destination option for your Return Authorisations and the returned stock will be reflected within this location's inventory.

5. 'Show/Discontinued' -  If you need to remove the Location, and toggle to 'Discontinued', it will remain in the system but it will no longer display on any dropdown menus.

**N.B. You must have at least one Active Location which allows the fulfilment of Sales Orders, receiving Production and receiving Returns. These can be different Locations as long as they are all Active.

Go to Tab 'Addresses' > Add the address(es) to each Location...

To add address(es) to your Locations, move to the 'Addresses' tab, select the Location then click on the green [Add] button.

Enter the Company Name, Country, Address lines, Town, Postcode and confirm if it should be the default location for:

  • Production (P)
  • Returns (R)
  • Transfers (T)
Go to Tab 'Locations Priority' > Set Locations Priority...

If you have multiple Locations that accept inbound production from manufacturers and returns from customers, you can arrange your Locations in order from most used to least used.

Simply drag'n'drop the Locations according to your needs. A production order with overstock will automatically prioritise locations that are higher on the list.
