With the Multi-Locations feature enabled you can convert a Sales Order to a Transfer Request.
This is particularly useful if you are placing your internal stock/e-commerce buys, and can be done after production orders have been raised and received.
You may need to create a new Customer called STOCK or ECOMM if you have not done so already - Customers - Add a New Customer and set their Location.
1. Type - Select the type of Stock Transfer:
- Manual Receipt - Transfer Note and Transfer. You would choose this option for physical stock being moved.
- Automatic Receipt - Transfer Note and Transfer will be created automatically and marked as shipped. You would choose this option for virtual stock being moved (for e-commerce).
2. FROM Location - (This will be fixed to the location in which the sales order was raised from.)
3. TO Location - select one of the Locations created in your system, that you would like to send the transfer to.
Press [OK]
If you choose the 'Manual Receipt' type, you will need to create a Transfer Ticket/Transfer Note when the physical stock is transferred.
If you opted for the Automatic Receipt type, a Transfer Note is automatically created, marked as shipped and locked, with all quantities on the Stock Transfer.
Then units will then reflect within the 'Transferred Out' column of the origin season's product stock inventory, then (once complete via a 'Shipped' and 'Received' transfer note) within the 'Transferred In' column of the destination location's Product Stock Inventory.
